Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
Give-a-way Design Competition
In the fall of 2006, Elfriede Foster tasked her students in INTD 4345 (Architectural Graphics) to design a holographic luggage/bag tag as give-a-ways for marketing the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). Each student was given design criteria crafted by the QEP Marketing Committee and asked to create their own unique design based upon their interpretation of said guidelines. Out of these original designs, a jury picked three to be modified and move forward to the final selection. Ms. Tabitha Pease’s design was chosen for use as the QEP give-a-way.
Tabitha Pease recently graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from the School of Architecture. For eight semesters she has been a member and choreographer for the UTA Dance Ensemble on campus. This semester she serves as the assistant choreographer for UTA Theater's production of URINETOWN the musical. Currently, she is working for Galier.Tolson.French Design, an architectural firm, and preparing for graduate school in which she aspires to study Theatrical Design. To her, the experience of winning this design competition is one of excitement -- "as a design student you continually create things in a hypothetical sense, knowing they will never be realized. So having the opportunity to see your design from the schematic phase to the finished product is truly fulfilling."
