Navigating
the Site
Navigational Aids (Breadcrumbs):
Each page within the site has a breadcrumb trail located below the page
header and repeated at the bottom of the page (e.g., UT Arlington >> SACS >>). The breadcrumb trail will take the user
to the main UT Arlington SACS website page or to the UT Arlington homepage.
Site Navigation:Information within this site is also arranged
categorically. The four categories are: Introduction, Reference Room, Compliance Certification Reports and Quality Enhancement Plan(QEP).
Introduction: The Introduction contains a welcome
message from the UT Arlington President, suggestions for navigating
the site, preferred technical requirements (hardware, software, printing
and settings), Reaffirmation Team flowchart, Reaffirmation Timeline
and Site Map. The Site Map displays the structure of the entire SACS
Reaffirmation website.
Reference
Room: The Reference
Room lists the major sources of documentation used in the compliance
audit and has three sections: University
Profile System (UPS), Reference Area and the Document
Library. The UPS provides
information regarding UT Arlington's academic units, administration
and faculty. The Reference Area provides links to information about
the UT System, UT Arlington, UT Arlington's colleges and schools and
documents such as UT Arlington Catalogs and Compliance Certification
Report Glossary. The Document Library provides links to the major documents
and source references included in the Compliance Certification Report.
Compliance
Certification:
The Compliance Certification section contains the HTML formatted Compliance
Certification Reports and the Table of Principles.
Each Compliance Certification Report has three sections: judgment of
compliance, narrative regarding the justification of compliance and
supporting documentation for the justification.
Judgment of Compliance: The
judgment of compliance provides three options: compliance, partial compliance
or non-compliance. For each report, a checkmark is placed in the box
to the left of the judgment of compliance, noting which option UT Arlington
has deemed appropriate.
Narrative: The narrative provides
UT Arlington's justification for its judgment of compliance. Double
clicking on the number displayed in color (e.g., [1]) will take the reader to the supporting
documentation section of the report.
Supporting Documentation:
The Supporting Documentation Table is located at the end of each Compliance
Certification Report and contains all of the narrative's references.
The four columns of each Supporting Documentation Table are in numerical
sequence and cross-reference the numbers in the narrative.
Column 1 notes each reference's
Source or Document Title in ascending numerical sequence.
Column 2 notes the document
type (html, PDF, xls or non-electronic file).
Column 3 notes the Document
Excerpt or Captured Documentation for each reference. Many of the documents
used to support UT Arlington's reports are quite long or are web-based.
In order to prevent time-consuming downloads and/or inaccessible web
pages, UT Arlington has created excerpts and/or web captures for some
of the supporting information. If internal is gray (internal) instead of blue (internal),
there is no internal link for the document. Links to files within the
excerpt are not necessarily applicable as evidence for compliance and
the links may require Internet access to be viewed.
Column 4 notes the Original
Document or Document Location for each reference. These links go to
the original documents from which the excerpts were taken. If the original
file is a small PDF, Columns 2 and 3 will be the same. If the original
file is in HTML format, Internet access is required to view the reference.
If external is gray (external) instead of blue (external),
there is no external link for the document.
The Table
of Principles is an electronic
documentation of UT Arlington's extent of compliance in a table format.
The Table details SACS requirements, UT Arlington's judgment of compliance
and the website location of each of the Compliance Certification Reports.
Quality
Enhancement Plan (QEP):
The QEP includes a QEP Overview and information regarding the
QEP: Steering Committee, Timeline, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
and QEPs from other Universities.
Notes:
1.) Because references such as catalogs,
handbooks and schedules are modified on a periodic basis, the original
document listed in Column 4 may be a later version or publication than
the excerpt in Column 3.
2.) Some document sources are only available in hard copy format. In
such cases, the campus location where the document is located can be
determined by clicking on the internal link in Column 3.
3.) Files that require a password are also noted by clicking on the
internal link in Column 3.
